Is the Feed functional offline?
The updated app design will function offline provided that Aiscreen can cache data during the initial load while connected to the internet. However, the old app design does not support offline functionality.
What is the duration for which the app is displayed?
The app is displayed for the duration set within the playlist. Each content piece within the feed is shown for the time initially set when the feed was added. To adjust this duration, you can go to the 'Content Library' and hover over the feed, where the option 'Edit this app' will appear.
Is it possible to configure the feed to display only images?
Certainly, you can achieve this by initially disabling the "Revert to original layout" setting. This action will uncover the "Display images fullscreen" option, enabling the feed app to exclusively present an image. The image will automatically adjust to fit the zone or screen. Alternatively, you can opt to display the image with a blurred background by activating the "Stretch images to fill" option.

Step 1: Register and Login News App for Digital Signage
Before using the "News" app, make sure you have an AIScreen account. If you don't have an account, register. If you are already registered, log in.
1.1. Registration
- Go to AIScreen and create an account following the instructions.
1.2. Login to your account
- Enter your email and password on the login page and click Log in.
Step 2: Add the News App from AIScreen App Store
2.1. Opening the App Store
- Once logged in, select the Apps section from the left menu.
- In the upper right corner, click the Open App Store button to open the app catalog.
2.2. Find the News App
- Use the search bar to type News.
- Select your preferred News App (e.g., CNN, BBC, or Google News).
2.3 Install the News Application
- Click on the app and select Go to App to open the configuration page.
Step 3: Configure the News App Settings for Digital Signage
3.1. Choose a News Category
- In the Category dropdown menu, select the type of news you want to display (e.g., Top Stories, U.S., or Business).
3.2. Select an Image Option
- Choose how images are displayed:
- No Image: Displays only text-based news
- Fit Image: Adjusts the image to fit within the display frame.
- Fill Image: Fills the screen with the image for a bold and immersive look.
- No Image: Displays only text-based news
3.3. Set Display Duration
- Use the slider to adjust the duration each news item is displayed on the screen (e.g., 5 seconds).
Step 4: Preview and Save Your News Application Setup
4.1. Check the Layout
- Preview how the news feeds will appear on the screen.
4.2. Name and Save
- Assign a Name: Enter a clear and descriptive name that reflects the purpose or content of the screen (e.g., “Social Wall Display,” “Main Lobby Screen,” or “Weekly Dashboard”).
- Click “Save” to apply changes and deploy the wall on your screen.
