What It Is and Why You Might Need It
Sometimes the AIScreen app may not be available on Google Play — for example, if an update is still under review or your device doesn’t support automatic installation.
In such cases, you can install the app manually by downloading the APK file. This is completely safe when done from the official AIScreen website.
⚠️ Note: APK is the standard Android installation file format (similar to
.exeon Windows).
Installing APKs manually requires a quick one-time permission change in your Android settings. How to Install the App Manually
1. Allow installation from unknown sources
- Open Settings → Security (or Privacy / Apps, depending on your Android version).
- Find “Unknown sources” or “Install unknown apps.”
- Enable installation for the app you’ll use:
- Files — if you’re opening the APK from your file manager;
- Chrome or Browser — if you downloaded the APK from the web.
💡 On Android 8.0 and newer, this permission is set per app, not globally.2. Download the AIScreen APK File
- Visit the official website: https://platforms.aiscreen.io/.
- Tap Download APK.
- Wait for the download to complete.
3. Install the App
- Open the Files app → Downloads.
- No definitions available.
- Tap it → choose Install.
- Once the installation finishes, you can open the app directly or from your app list.
Done!
The AIScreen app is now installed and ready to use.
When a new version becomes available, simply download and install the new APK over the existing one — no need to uninstall the old version.
