Introduction
The Dashboards feature in AIScreen allows you to automate the login and navigation process to web-based dashboards like Zendesk. This ensures your customer support metrics, tickets, or reports are always displayed in real time — without the need for manual logins.
AIScreen currently supports two-factor authentication (2FA) via Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator. If your Zendesk account uses a different 2FA method, we recommend switching to one of the supported options for compatibility. For assistance, feel free to contact our support team.
Supported 2FA methods for dashboards:
Step 1: Register and Log In
1.1 Register on Zendesk and AIScreen
- Go to zendesk.com and create a Zendesk account if you don’t have one.
- Then go to AIScreen.io and create your AIScreen account to begin using the Dashboards feature.
1.2 Log In to AIScreen
- Log in using your AIScreen email and password to access the admin panel.
Step 2: Add the Zendesk Dashboard App from the AIScreen App Store
2.1 Open the App Store
- Once logged in, go to the Apps section in the AIScreen dashboard.
- Click Open App Store to browse all available integrations.
2.2 Find the Zendesk App
- Search for Zendesk using the search bar.
- Click on the Zendesk app to open its setup page.
2.3 Launch the Zendesk App
- Click Go to App to begin setup and proceed with recording steps.
Step 3: Connect and Configure Zendesk
3.1 Paste the Zendesk URL
- In the dashboard settings, locate the Write URL field and paste the URL of the specific Zendesk dashboard or report you want to display.
- A login window will appear on the right side of the screen — this is an embedded browser used to record your login steps.
Note: If your account uses two-factor authentication, paste the secret key from your Google or Microsoft Authenticator into the 2FA field before recording.
3.2 Start Recording
- Click Start Recording to begin the automation sequence.
- Enter your Zendesk login credentials in the embedded browser and complete the full login process.
3.3 Stop Recording and Check
- Once you land on the desired Zendesk page, click Stop Recording.
- You’ll see a list of recorded steps and a preview of your dashboard.
- Review the preview to confirm the display looks correct.
- Set the Refresh rate (sec) field to define how frequently AIScreen should check the page is still active (e.g., every 50 seconds).
Step 4: Name and Finish
- At the top of the setup screen, give your configuration a name (e.g., Zendesk Ticket View) and click Finish to save.
- Your Zendesk dashboard is now fully automated. Each time the screen powers on, AIScreen will log in and navigate to your selected Zendesk view automatically.
Conclusion
- You’ve now set up your Zendesk Dashboard in AIScreen using the screen recorder feature. This setup ensures your support team always has live access to key metrics, ticket views, or performance dashboards—without manual input.
