How to Set Up GitHub Dashboard in AIScreen

Last update: February 12, 2026

Introduction

AIScreen’s Dashboards feature allows you to automatically log in and display GitHub pages — such as project boards, pull request overviews, or contribution graphs — on your digital screens. This is perfect for dev teams that want real-time visibility into code activity, issue tracking, or team collaboration metrics.

AIScreen supports two-factor authentication (2FA) via Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator. If your GitHub account uses a different method, we recommend switching to one of these for seamless compatibility. Contact us if you need help.

Supported 2FA methods for dashboards:

Step 1: Register and Log In

1.1 Register on GitHub and AIScreen

  • Go to github.com and create a GitHub account if you don’t already have one.
  • Then go to AIScreen.io and sign up to create your dashboard environment.

1.2 Log In to AIScreen

  • Log in with your AIScreen email and password to access the admin dashboard.

Step 2: Add the GitHub Dashboard App from the AIScreen App Store

2.1 Open the App Store

  • Once logged in, go to the Apps section and click Open App Store.

2.2 Find the GitHub App

  • Search for GitHub in the app store search bar.
  • Click on the GitHub app to open its setup page.

2.3 Launch the GitHub App

  • Click Go to App to begin configuration and move to the URL and login recording steps.

Step 3: Connect and Configure GitHub

3.1 Paste the GitHub URL

  • Open the GitHub page you want to display — this could be a repository dashboard, a project board, or a team activity page.
  • Copy the URL and paste it into the Write URL field in the AIScreen app.
  • An embedded browser will appear on the right side — this is where the login process will be recorded.

Note: If 2FA is enabled on your GitHub account, paste your Google or Microsoft Authenticator key into the 2FA field before starting the recording.

3.2 Start Recording

  • Click Start Recording, then enter your GitHub credentials in the embedded browser.
  • Complete the login process including any 2FA prompt, and proceed to the desired page.

3.3 Stop Recording and Check

  • Once the GitHub dashboard is fully loaded, click Stop Recording.
  • You’ll see a preview and a list of recorded actions.
  • Verify that your GitHub page displays correctly.
  • Set the Refresh rate (sec) (e.g., 60 seconds) to define how often AIScreen checks and maintains the session.

Step 4: Name and Finish

  • At the top of the screen, enter a clear name for this configuration (e.g., Dev Team Activity – GitHub) and click Finish.
  • AIScreen will now automatically log in and load your GitHub dashboard every time the screen starts up.

Conclusion

  • You’ve now successfully set up your GitHub Dashboard in AIScreen. Whether it’s for project boards, CI/CD status, or issue tracking, your development team will always stay up to date — without logging in manually.
  • If you have questions or need support with 2FA setup, login automation, or display behavior, reach out to us at hello@aiscreen.io — we’re here to help.
