Introduction
The Views Dwell-Time Dashboard helps you understand how long people spend looking at your screens and content. While audience size tells you how many people were present, Dwell-Time analytics show how much attention your content actually received.
This dashboard helps answer questions such as: How many people viewed my content? How long did viewers look at the screen? Are viewers spending enough time engaging with the content? Which audience groups stay longer? Is engagement improving or declining? How does viewing time compare with previous periods?
In simple terms: The Views Dwell-Time Dashboard measures audience attention and engagement quality, not just audience size.
Dashboard Controls
Before reviewing analytics, you can filter the report by date, screens, and content.
Date Range

Allows you to select the reporting period. Examples: Today, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, Custom Date Range. All metrics and charts automatically update based on the selected period.
Choose Screens

Allows you to analyze: A single screen, Multiple screens, A specific location, Your entire network. Use this filter to compare viewer engagement across different displays.
Choose Content

The right-side panel allows you to select which content should be included in the report. Available categories include: Playlists, AI Triggers, Media, Apps, Canvas. After making your selections, click Confirm Selection to update the dashboard.
1. People Reached

What It Shows
People Reached represents the total number of unique viewers detected during the selected period. Example: 4.4k People Reached: this means approximately 4,400 people were detected by the AI system.
Gender Breakdown

The dashboard also shows audience distribution by gender. Example: Male: 2.2k (49%), Female: 2.3k (51%). This helps users understand which audience segments were exposed to the content.
Why It Matters
People Reached answers: How many individuals had the opportunity to view my content? This metric measures audience exposure and overall reach.
2. Average View

What It Shows
Average View represents the average amount of time viewers spent looking at the screen. Example: 8.6 seconds Average View: this means viewers looked at the screen for an average of 8.6 seconds.
Gender-Specific View Time

The dashboard also breaks viewing time down by gender. Example: Avg. Male View: 9 seconds, Avg. Female View: 9 seconds. This helps identify whether specific audience groups spend more time viewing content.
Why It Matters
Average View Time helps determine whether content is actually capturing attention. Higher dwell times generally indicate: More engaging content, Better screen placement, Stronger audience interest, Improved message visibility.
3. Engagement Rate

What It Shows
Engagement Rate measures the percentage of viewers who remained engaged with the screen beyond the defined threshold. Example: 8% Engagement Rate.
Engagement Calculation

Example: 362 Engaged Users, 4,421 Total Visitors → Engagement Rate: 362 ÷ 4,421 × 100 = approximately 8%.
Engagement Threshold
In this example: Engaged users are viewers who looked at the screen for more than 5 seconds.
Why It Matters
This metric helps answer: How many people actually paid attention to the screen? A large audience does not always mean strong engagement. Engagement Rate helps measure content effectiveness.
Main Dwell-Time Trend Chart

The large chart visualizes how viewing time changes across audience segments. It compares: Male viewers, Female viewers, Current period, Previous period, Average viewing duration.
Horizontal Axis

The bottom axis represents age groups. Examples: Age 10, Age 20, Age 30, Age 40, Age 55. This allows users to understand how viewing behavior changes by age.
Vertical Axis

The left axis represents viewing duration. Examples: 3 seconds, 6 seconds, 9 seconds, 12 seconds, 14 seconds. Higher values indicate longer attention spans.
Male vs Female Dwell-Time Comparison

The chart compares average viewing time between male and female audiences. Example: Male viewers may average 11.2 seconds, Female viewers may average 11.6 seconds. This helps identify which demographic groups spend more time engaging with content.
Why It Matters
Understanding attention by gender helps improve content targeting. For example: If female viewers consistently spend longer viewing content, you may want to analyze which content elements are driving that engagement.
Current vs Previous Period

The dashboard compares: Current Period: displayed using solid lines. Previous Period: displayed using dashed lines.
