How to connect your Instagram account to AIScreen.io?

Mandatory Requirements:

To start using Instagram content on your AIScreen.io social wall, you’ll need:

  • An Instagram Business account (NOT personal or creator account)
  • Your Instagram Business account must be connected to a Facebook page
  • Full access control of the Facebook page connected to the Instagram Business account

❗️ Note: These are strict requirements set by Instagram that we cannot bypass!

Please be aware that you will be redirected to Facebook while connecting your Instagram account since both Instagram and Facebook are owned by the same company and accessed via the same API (Application Programming Interface) for tools like ours.

How to verify if your Instagram account is a Business account?

Follow these steps to check if your Instagram account is a Business account:

1. Make sure you’re logged into the Facebook page you want to connect to an Instagram Business account. You can see that in the top right corner:

2. Click on the Profile picture of your Facebook page. Then click on “Settings & privacy”

3. Next, click on “Settings

4. Click on “Linked accounts” on the left sidebar.

5. Afterwards, click “Instagram” (or open this page:) and connect your Instagram account.

Remember to allow essential and optional cookies during this process.

❗️Make sure to confirm the email address, which is connected to the Instagram business account, and to the Facebook page that is linked to the Instagram business account.

How to connect an Instagram Business account to a Facebook page?

1. Make sure you have full access control of the Facebook page.

❗️Only Facebook users who have gotten full control of the Facebook page or page’s owner are able to connect to an Instagram Business account.You can see People with Facebook access here: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=profile_access 👇

1. Click on the Profile picture of your Facebook page. Then click on “Settings & privacy”

3. Page setup > Page Access

You can identify if the person has full control of the Facebook page if (s)he has access to Page deletion, Permissions, Content, Messages, Community activity, Ads, and Insights.

❗️If you cannot see People with Facebook access here: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=profile_access (under Settings > New Pages Experience > Page Access), you do NOT have full access control of the Facebook page.

2. Make sure that your Facebook page has no quality issues. You can see this here: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=profile_quality

3. Page setup > Page Status

If there are any complaints about your content, you will see them on that page and you will NOT be able to set the connection to AIScreen Social Apps.

3. Make sure that there are no issues on the Dashboard of your Facebook page. You can access it the following way:

Go to your Facebook page (i.e. https://www.facebook.com/AIScreenCompany/) and click on “Professional dashboard”

Then, you’ll see an overview page of your Dashboard. It looks like this one👇if there are no issues:

If your Instagram account is not properly connected to the Facebook page, you will see this on that page.

Don’t forget to check the permissions on Facebook:

❗️Make sure you have granted Walls.io full access rights on the Facebook Business Integrations page. Don’t worry: we cannot and will never publish to your page or account.

1. Log into your Facebook account and go to the “Business integrations” paыge: Then, click “view and edit” on the AIScreen Social Apps integration.

2. Make sure you have granted us full access rights to for AIScreen Social Apps all relevant Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts (that you want to connect):

3. Afterwards, please try to reconnect your Instagram account(s):

If it works – Great, the Instagram account is now connected.

❌ If this has NOT helped, please follow these steps:

1. Navigate to https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=business_tools and remove AIScreen Social Apps completely from your authorized business tools

2. Go to https://manager.aiscreen.io/apps/Instagram-Gallery/create and reconnect to Instagram and Facebook

3. When the Facebook authentication dialog appears, click on “Continue as your FB name” and in the next step, please, select the Instagram account you want to add:

4. Afterwards, please, choose the Facebook page that is connected to your Instagram account:

5. Make sure to grant full access rights to walls.io:

6. The next step is to press “Ok” and voila – it should be connected!
