Fire OS Hardware

Last update: May 17, 2025

This article explains the hardware needed for Fire OS, which devices are supported, and how to fix common AIScreen problems.

Please Note:

Amazon has launched a new device called the Amazon Signage Stick, explicitly designed for digital signage. We strongly recommend using this device instead of consumer-grade Fire OS devices. It avoids common issues like the Fire OS home screen unexpectedly showing up, making it a better option for signage needs.

Amazon Fire TV devices are affordable, easy to set up, and user-friendly. These include Fire TV Sticks, Fire tablets, and TVs that run the Fire OS operating system.

Minimum Requirements

Amazon’s Fire TV devices, Fire tablets, and smart TVs with Fire TV built-in all use Amazon’s Fire OS, which is based on Android.

Instead of setting general minimum requirements, we provide a clear list of devices we have tested and recommend. Below, you’ll find which devices are supported and which are not.
