Introduction
AIScreen’s Dashboards feature allows you to display Google Data Studio (Looker Studio) dashboards automatically on your digital screens. By recording the login and navigation steps once, your dashboards stay live and visible — no need for manual refresh or interaction.
AIScreen currently supports two-factor authentication (2FA) through Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator. If your Google account is protected by another 2FA method, we recommend switching to one of these for compatibility with the automated login process.
Supported 2FA methods for dashboards:
Step 1: Register and Log In
1.1 Register on Google and AIScreen
- If you haven’t already, create a Google account at accounts.google.com.
- Then, go to AIScreen.io and register your dashboard environment.
1.2 Log In to AIScreen
- Use your email and password to access your AIScreen admin panel.
Step 2: Add the Google Data Studio App from the AIScreen App Store
2.1 Open the App Store
- After logging in, navigate to the Apps section and click Open App Store.
2.2 Find the Google Data Studio App
- Use the search bar to find Google Data Studio (or Looker Studio).
- Click the app to open its setup page.
2.3 Launch the Google Data Studio App
- Click Go to App to start the configuration process.
- You’ll now proceed with pasting the URL and recording the login steps.
Step 3: Connect and Configure Google Data Studio
3.1 Paste the Google Data Studio URL
- In your browser, open the specific Google Data Studio dashboard you want to display.
- Copy the full URL and paste it into the Write URL field in AIScreen.
- A login panel will appear on the right side of the screen — this is the embedded browser where AIScreen will record your login process.
Note: If you have two-factor authentication enabled on your Google account, paste the secret key from Google or Microsoft Authenticator into the 2FA field before recording.
3.2 Start Recording
- Click Start Recording, then log in using your Google credentials in the embedded browser window.
- Complete the 2FA step if prompted and proceed to the dashboard view.
3.3 Stop Recording and Check
- Once your dashboard is fully loaded, click Stop Recording.
- You’ll see a preview and a list of recorded steps.
- Confirm that your dashboard is displayed correctly.
- Set the Refresh rate (sec) to define how often AIScreen checks that your screen is active (e.g., every 60 seconds).
Step 4: Name and Finish
- Give your configuration a clear name (e.g., Marketing Analytics Dashboard) at the top of the screen, then click Finish to save.
- AIScreen will now automatically log in and display the specified Google Data Studio dashboard every time the screen restarts.
Conclusion
- You’ve successfully set up your Google Data Studio (Looker Studio) dashboard in AIScreen. With automatic login and page loading, your team can stay informed with live metrics — no clicks required.
