1) Ov5) Step-by-Step Installationerview
This setup is designed for customers who:
- Already have a video wall controller
- Want a simple plug-and-play solution
- Do not need complex multi-zone 4K playback
- Want a cost-effective solution for 2×2 or 3×3 walls
In this configuration, AIScreen runs on a single device (such as the AIScreen Stick), and a Video Wall Controller distributes that signal across multiple displays.
2) How This Se3) Recommended Hardware
3.1 AIScreen Stick
AIScreen Stick is a compact and powerful digital signage player designed for plug-and-play deployments.
View available AIScreen player devices here:
For full setup instructions of AIScreen Stick:
Architecture:
AIScreen Stick → HDMI → Video Wall Controller → Multiple Screens
The controller takes one video signal and:
- Splits it across screens
- Or stretches it across the full wall
- Or divides it into predefined zones
3.2 Recommended Video Wall Controllers
We recommend J-Tech Digital video wall controllers for reliable multi-display signal distribution.
J-Tech Digital Video Wall Controllers
J-Tech controllers support HDMI signal splitting and multi-display distribution, making them ideal for 2×2 and 3×3 video wall setups.
4) When to Choose This Setup
Choose this configuration if:
- You want a quick installation.
- You do not require heavy GPU performance.
- You want to display one large video across the wall.
- You are running standard Full HD content.
- You want a budget-friendly setup.
This setup is ideal for:
- Retail promotions.
- Restaurant menu boards.
- Showrooms.
- Event walls.
- Small 2×2 installations
5) Step-by-Step Installation
Step 1 — Connect AIScreen Stick to Controller
Connect the HDMI output of the AIScreen Stick to the HDMI input of the Video Wall Controller.
Step 2 — Connect Controller to Displays
Connect each HDMI output of the controller to individual displays.
Example (2×2):
Controller HDMI Output 1 → Screen 1
Controller HDMI Output 2 → Screen 2
Controller HDMI Output 3 → Screen 3
Controller HDMI Output 4 → Screen 4
Step 3 — Configure Controller Layout
Inside the J-Tech controller menu:
- Select 2×2 layout
- Or select stretch mode
- Or select custom split configuration
Refer to your controller manual for layout configuration.
Step 4 — Pair AIScreen Stick
Turn on the AIScreen Stick.
Follow pairing instructions:
Once paired, push content to the screen from AIScreen dashboard.
6) Important Technical Limitations
This section is critical.
Controller Does NOT Increase Resolution
If AIScreen Stick outputs 1920×1080:
The controller splits that 1080p signal across all screens.
Example:
2×2 wall
Each screen will display a quarter of 1920×1080.
This does NOT become 4K automatically.
If you need true 4K per screen with independent content, use a Windows Video Wall setup.
Performance Considerations
- Playing one video across entire wall → low to moderate load
- Playing multiple independent zones → depends on player power
- Heavy 4K multi-zone playback → Windows recommended
7) Recommended Wall Sizes for This Setup
Best suited for:
- 1×2
- 2×2
- 2×3
For 3×3 or larger walls, performance may vary depending on content type.
For large enterprise installations, we recommend a Windows-based Video Wall.
8) Troubleshooting
Issue: Image looks blurry
Cause:
Low source resolution from Stick.
Fix:
Increase output resolution in Stick settings (if supported)
Use higher resolution media files
Issue: Content misaligned
Cause:
Incorrect controller layout configuration.
Fix:
Reconfigure the layout inside the J-Tech controller menu.
Issue: Video lagging
Cause:
Heavy video file or insufficient processing power.
Fix:
- Reduce bitrate
- Use H.264 MP4
- Upgrade to AIScreen Pro or Windows PC
